The central theme of the XIV SINGEP 2026, “Technologies, Innovation, and People for Sustainable Societies”, establishes a renewed and urgent agenda for strategy research. The convergence of accelerated technological advances, pressures for continuous innovation, and the centrality of the human factor redefines the boundaries of organizational competitiveness and calls for new theoretical and methodological lenses to understand how firms formulate and implement strategies in contexts of profound transformation.

The incorporation of emerging technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, automation, and digital platforms) is reshaping competitive dynamics, altering decision-making processes at the top levels of organizations, and creating new information asymmetries among firms. At the same time, innovation is no longer an isolated event but a systemic process that requires flexible organizational architecture, collaborative ecosystems, and leadership capable of navigating environments of high uncertainty. The strategic challenge is not merely to adopt technology, but to integrate it coherently with firm capabilities, human values, and the demands of a society that increasingly requires sustainability as a condition rather than a differentiator.

In this context, people assume a central role. The management of human capital, along with diversity, equity, and inclusion, is no longer peripheral but has become integral to competitive strategy. Executive leaders face increasing pressure to balance financial objectives with social and environmental responsibilities, while global supply chains are being reconfigured under geopolitical tensions and new demands for transparency and traceability. Strategy, therefore, must simultaneously address imperatives of efficiency, innovation, and purpose.

Against this backdrop, the XIV SINGEP invites strategy scholars to contribute studies that engage with the major contemporary strategic challenges identified by the Strategic Management Society (SMS), connecting theory and practice in the pursuit of innovative insights and applicable solutions. We encourage submissions that explore these challenges through diverse methodological approaches, whether empirical or theoretical, involving qualitative and/or quantitative data. We seek research that advances academic knowledge while offering practical contributions for managers and policymakers, guided by the intersection of technology, innovation, people, and sustainability.

We invite the academic community to participate in this discussion, fostering the exchange of ideas that can drive new perspectives and strategic solutions for the future of business and society.

Submissions in the Strategy track of the XIV SINGEP may address, but are not limited to, the following themes:

  1. Behavioural Strategy
  2. Corporate and Competitive Strategy
  3. Cooperative and Stakeholder Strategy
  4. Strategy and Internationalization
  5. Strategy and Entrepreneurship
  6. Strategy, Knowledge and Innovation
  7. Teaching and Research in Strategy
