Formatting for Scientific Articles

  • Each author may submit a maximum of four works for the XII SINGEP-CIK event. Each work may have up to four authors.

    Template: The use of the template is mandatory. Files submitted without the template will automatically be disqualified. (Click here to download the template).

    File format for submission: PDF

    Language: Portuguese, English, or Spanish

    Font: Times New Roman, size 12

    Line spacing: single

    Character spacing: normal

    Page limit: minimum 8, maximum 16 pages

    Paper size: A4

    Margins: Top: 3cm / Bottom: 2cm / Left: 3cm / Right: 2cm

    Paragraph: Justified text

    Pagination: page numbers at the footer, aligned to the right, as per the template.

    Notes: Should not be placed in the footer but included as end-of-text notes.

    Figures and Tables: All figures and tables must have captions and follow APA guidelines. Thus, for figures (charts, graphics, drawings, etc.), captions should be positioned below them, left-aligned with font size Times New Roman 10. For tables, captions should be positioned above them, centered with font Times New Roman size 10.

    Citations and bibliographic references: Citations should be inserted in the text body following the author-date system, adding the page number for direct quotations. Bibliographic references should be presented in alphabetical order at the end of the work, according to the American Psychological Association (APA) standard.

    Observations: Works that do not meet the technical criteria will not have their submission accepted.

    The work must be submitted in a single file without identification of authors, institution, or email. Works with identified authorship will automatically be excluded from the event.

    SCIENTIFIC ARTICLE MODALITY

    The scientific article should contain a minimum of eight (8) and a maximum of sixteen (16) pages, including illustrations, references, and end-of-text notes.

    Structured Abstract (to be included only in the submission platform): Authors are advised to prepare the structured abstract in a separate document and copy and paste each item into the specific field at the time of submission.

    The structured abstract for the scientific article should include the following items and must contain no more than 250 words in total:

    • Study objective (maximum 42 words)
    • Relevance/originality (maximum 42 words)
    • Methodology/approach (maximum 42 words)
    • Main results (maximum 42 words)
    • Theoretical/methodological contributions (maximum 42 words)
    • Social/management contributions (maximum 42 words)

    The Title, Structured Abstract, and Keywords should be written in two versions regardless of the language chosen for submitting the scientific article: 1st version in Portuguese; and the 2nd version in English.

    Fields to be filled in on the submission platform:

    • Work title in Portuguese: in uppercase.
    • Work title in English: in uppercase.
    • Keywords: in Portuguese, at least three (3) and no more than five (5).
    • Keywords: in English, must be the same as those defined in Portuguese.
    • Fields of the structured abstract: in Portuguese
    • Fields of the structured abstract: in English

    Suggested structure for the scientific article (textual part):

    (Do not include the structured abstract in the PDF; it should only be included in the submission platform).
